Chief of Police Kenneth J. Coppola, Sr

Chief Coppola started his career in 1974 as a part time police officer with the Aldan Police Department. He became a full time officer in January 1977. He is a member of the first graduating class of the Delaware County Police Academy. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1983, and to Chief of Police in 1991. Chief Coppola has an associate degree in Administration of Justice from Delaware County Community College.
He is a graduate of Penn State University's Police Executive Development (POLEX) School. Chief Coppola is a 1989 graduate of the FBI National Academy. Chief Coppola is a member of the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association, the International association of Chiefs of Police, the Southeast pennsylvania Police Chiefs Association, and member and past president of the Delaware County Police Chiefs Association. He is an instructor at the Delaware County Police Academy.

The annual Aldan Boosters "Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony" will be held on Saturday, December 6,2014 at 6:30 PM at the Memorial Park , Providence Rd & Woodlawn Ave. Sing carols with the Aldan Union Choir, enjoy hot apple cider provided by the Aldan Historical Commission. This years tree 'lighter' is Ginger Kaut, retiring Aldan Borough Secretary. Santa will also be there for the children to visit.
Dont forget Santa's Mailbox outside the Borough Bldg.Include a stamped return envelop for Santa's reply.
Thank You cards & letters for our servicemen and women are being collected in the Troops Mailbox outside the Borough Bldg.These cards are being forwarded to troops by the Aldan American Legion Post 1000
New Photo Gallery addition New pictures have been added to the Photo Gallery ( below right).Retiring Borough Secretary Ginger Kaut was recently thanked for all her years of service by representatives of the Aldan Boosters, Aldan Swim Club,July 4th Commission, Town Watch, American Legion, and the Aldan Boys and Girls Clubs. Also, a photo of new Aldan Police Officer Joe Spina being sworn in by Mayor Hopely.
