Patrolman Louis Acello

Patrolman Acello came to the Aldan Police Department after retiring from the Lower Merion Township Police Department. He served 28 years at Lower Merion, and held the rank of Sergeant of Police. Patrolman Acello started his law enforcement career as a part time officer with the Darby Township Police Department. Patrolman Acello is a graduate of Penn State University's Police Executive Development Institute ( POL EX), and Penn State's Advanced Police Executive Development Institute ( Advanced POL EX). He is also a graduate of Inter County Detective School, Police Supervisor Training which is provided by The Quintic Group, as well as several other supervisory schools. While serving with the Lower Merion Township Police Department, he served as a Criminal Investigator prior to his promotion to the rank of Sergeant of Police.

Delaware County Hero Bowl 2012 will be held at Widener University on May 31, 2012 at 7PM.There is a $5.00 admission fee and all proceeds benefit the Hero Scholarship Fund which helps provide scholarships to the children of Police Officers, Firefighters, and EMS workers who have given their lives in the line of duty

The Annual Sheriff's Reserve Unit 5K Run, Walk, Car Show and Flea Market will take place on Sunday, June 10, 2012 ( starting at 9:05 AM) at the Main Campus ( Marple Township) of the Delaware County Community College. Proceeds provide College assistance to residents of Delaware County who might not otherwise have access to this type of support.
